At Southern Miss, no student or staff member should have to worry about where their next meal is coming from. Yet, nearly 40% of college students nationwide face food insecurity every week. That’s why the Wesley Food Pantry+ is here—to provide essential resources, support, and hope to those experiencing temporary challenges. More than just a pantry, we are a community dedicated to lifting each other up.
The USM Wesley Foundation is driven by a passion to make a real difference, ensuring that everyone on our Hattiesburg campus has access to the nourishment and care they need to thrive.
Together, we can create a campus where no one goes without!

book of hope + little free pantry
The Book of Hope + Little Free Pantry Movement is a nationwide initiative dedicated to fostering community support and kindness by providing free access to food, hygiene products, and uplifting literature. These pantries operate on a simple principle: Take what you need, leave what you can. By combining nourishment for the body and encouragement for the soul, the movement empowers communities to take care of one another in times of need.
We are excited to share that the Wesley Food Pantry+ at Southern Miss has officially joined this movement! Our pantry is now part of a growing network of Little Free Pantries, offering essential resources and hope to students and staff facing food insecurity. At Wesley, we believe that no one should struggle alone, and by coming together, we can create a stronger, more supportive campus community. Stop by, grab what you need, and help spread the hope!
